Happy New Year! At Canvas and Paddle, we’re setting the goal to be outside more, drink more water and get that Vitamin D sunshine as much as possible, which can be hard in Northern Michigan! Remember our blog post about our 2020 Michigan Bucket List? Today, we are talking about #2 on the list: visiting Kitch-iti-kipi! This is the most beautiful natural spring in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan! If you have kids, they will love to go across the spring on the glass bottomed boat, looking at all the fish!  Kitch-iti-kipi is 200 feet across and 40 feet deep! Mackinac's classic Christmas weekend benefiting Mackinac Island's Churches and Mackinac Island Medical Center is happening this weekend! This is a yearly tradition where  the community of year-long residents gather to celebrate the Christmas season. The Mackinac Island Community Hall is opened up for shopping, an auction and meals! All of the profits are given back to the churches and medical center.  The Christmas Tree Lighting was last night, Friday, December 6th at 5:00 PM in the center of Main Street.  There is a snowmobile raffle, too! Attendees purchase tickets to win a 2020 Yamaha Snowmobile which benefits the Mackinac Island Christmas Bazaar....
